KØRC (+KD8FS)
APRS Tracking: KD8FS-9

Bob (KØRC) and his brother Al (KD8FS) plan to run MnQP following the route they used last year. In general we start in Chisago County and head North on i35 toward Floodwood. We turn West and take Hwy 200 toward Walker, skimming the south shore of Leech Lake and then pick up Hwy 34 heading SW toward Park Rapids. This is where we get on Hwy 71 and mobile south toward Wadena. Hwy 10 is found and takes us East past Brainerd to Garrison. We navigate the west shore of Mille Lacs Lake heading South and then East again to pick up Hwy 65. From there it’s a straight shot South through Cambridge to find Coopers Corner and then use some back-roads to find our way back home. When you plot this out on Google Maps the route looks like a big chicken leg that we navigate. Al is the driver and a second set of CW ears while I try to operate our Kenwood TS690s/at with a K1EL WinKeyer USB driven by the N1MM+ software using a Dell laptop computer. RF leaves our SUV on MFJ Hamsticks which impress me that OM2VL can always hear us! Hopefully the roads will be clear and dry like last year. If not, route changes may be needed to get us close to home by the end of the Party. Look for us on CW at 045 +/-

Here’s my plans for next weekend. I have a few breaks built in, got to keep the driver happy. On CW look for me around .039. I’ll probably hit phone in a few counties that I have too much time (Lyon & Blue Earth).
W9FZ (& KA9VVQ)
APRS Tracking: W9FZ-4
Plan: LIN 1400-1445, LYO 1515-1600, MUR 1630-1715, PIP 1815-1900, ROC 1930-2105, NOB 2030-2115, COT 2200-2245, JAC 2315-2400
Janice (KA9VVQ) and I now live in Wisconsin but to make progress towards the quest of operating from all 87 counties, this year, we will knock out 8 in far southwest Minnesota.
We will use the name “Jan”. We appreciate being spotted. We intend to self-spot exclusively on: http://qsopartyhub.com/mnqp-spots.php . We will be chirping APRS as W9FZ-4 . The MNQP mobile tracker should have us.
SSB only for us. Mostly 20M. We hope to have a little 40m. Sure, we will check 15m and 80m. We sometimes have trouble finding an open freq on 20m because we do NOT operate on the fly. We take a break during travel times. We don’t mind hints towards an open freq.

WØADL (& KØDJD)

Plan: HEN, DAK, GOO, OLM, WAB, WIN, OLM(2), DOD, STE, WSC, LES, BLU, BRO, NIC, REN, SIB, SCO
SSB on 10, 15, & 20 meters.
