The Minnesota QSO Party provides a great opportunity for all Minnesota county Emergency Coordinators to practice their HF communications skills. Minnesota ARES stations are encouraged to use “ARES” for their name as a part of the contest exchange. For example, if an ARES station located in Cook County works a station in Florida, the Florida station would send their name and “Florida”, for example “Tom in Florida” while the ARES station would say “Thanks, ARES in Cook county”. More information on Minnesota ARES stations is available on the MN-ARES web site.
A new certificate will be awarded for the highest score from an ARES station in Minnesota.
