The 160 Meter Contest was last weekend and it was a huge success. MWA turned out 57 active operators and we improved our club score 80.92%, year-over-year, to 2,771,865 points! An incredible testament to some great efforts and lots of BIC time!
Team 6 won the team competition for the 160 Contest! This is the first “win” for Team 6 and the fifth team that has won a contest! The bottom five teams in the previous standings took the top five spots! With the win this week, Team 6 moved from 6th place to 4th. Great effort Team 6 (and everyone). Here are the standings for the week:

- Team 3 – 457,193 points – 9 pts

Have you thought about getting on the air and then said “my effort won’t amount to much.” Check out the difference between the 3rd and 4th spots and also the 5th and 6th spots. A few thousand points can make a big difference!
In the overall standings, Team 9 maintained their lead, and added one point over second place Team 1. As stated above, Team 6 really made the move upward by capturing the ten-point win! It is still early enough that any team can win one of the medals! Here are the results through seven events:
