NØEO (my name is Neo) will once again activate 14 Northern Counties for the 2Ø19 MnQP..    Aitkin, Itasca, Cass, Hubbard, Beltrami, Polk, Mahnomen, Red Lake, Pennington, Marshall, Kittson, Roseau, Lake Of The Woods, and Koochiching.  In that order with 2 activations in Polk.  Mostly CW but will also try SSB if there is any interest.

Looking forward to  giving these counties out to those that can hear us.

Planned route: Carver, Wright, Meeker, Kandiyohi, Chippewa, Swift, Stevens, Pope, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Wilkins, Traverse, Big Stone, Lac Qui Parle, Yellow Medicine, Lincoln, Lyon, Redwood, Renville, Sibley, McLeod

APRS Tracking: K0PC-9

The route covers a swath of West Central Minnesota. I will operate 40M & 20M CW only from each county. Look for 80M at the beginning and end of the contest.

Planned schedule: CRV 1400z, WRI 1425z, MEE 1450z, KND 1520z, CHP 1550z, SWI 1630z, STV 1655z, POP 1715z, DOU 1745z, GRA 1805z, OTT 1835z, WIL 1900z, TRA 1930z, BIG 2010z, LAC 2040z, YEL 2115z, LIN 2135z, LYO 2200z, RDW 2230z, REN 2305z, SIB 2330z, MCL 2345z

Planned Route: McLeod, Sibley, Renville, Nicollet, Brown, Watonwan, Cottonwood, Redwood, Murray, Lyon, Lincoln, Pipestone, Rock, Nobles, Jackson, Martin, Faribault, Blue Earth, Waseca, Steele, Freeborne, Mower, Dodge, Goodhue, Rice, Dakota, Scott, Hennepin

I've been tweaking my route to squeeze a bit more operating time.  I'll pass on Carver at the start and eliminate driving across McLeod.  That will buy me an extra ten minutes later.
A new ripple for 2019:  I will start in MCL on 80M CW and let 20M warmup.  I'll then move to 20M Phone for most of the day.  If 20m dies at the end of the contest, I'll go back to 80M CW.  Frequencies will be 3.552 and 14.252.  100 watts to a hamstick.

Planned Route: Dakota, Goodhue, Wabasha, Winona, Filmore, Houston, Filmore(2), Olmsted, Mower, Dodge, Steele, Waseca, Le Sueur, Rice, Scott, Hennepin

73, Mike WO9B & Matt KD9CVA

Planned Route: Anoka, Isanti, Sherburne, Mille Lacs, Benton, Morrison, Crow Wing, Aitkin, Carlton, Pine, Kanabec if time permits

Because of the great activity this year, I am changing my previously announced route in order to focus more on those counties that I have never operated from before.  My new route, probably in this order, is Anoka, Isanti, Sherburne, Mille Lacs, Benton, Morrison, Crow Wing, Aitkin, Carton, Pine, and if time allows Kanabec, all on 20, 40 & 80m CW.  I may sneak in some SSB while driving, tbd.
Looks like its going to warm up just in time for us too.  Mobiles, drive safely !
73, Jon

APRS Tracking: N0IJ-9

This is the exact route as in past years except for Red Lake (and the secon Polk visit) eliminated to make it a bit easier and be sure to reach Cook.

Very happy to have Randy Johnson, AAØME, volunteer to drive.

Planned route: See below

APRS Tracking: W9FZ-15

Janice and I have had a ball getting on for MNQP and activating 5 to 8 counties each year on 20m phone.

My employer (and my lack of seniority in my seat) is making it tough to make plans to be on this year.

At worst, we won't be on the air at all. Next best is we will activate 5 counties (Washington, Ramsey, Hennepin, Carver, and McLeod) and have dinner at V's Café (all-you-can-eat Broasted Chicken) in Winstead.

Best of all would be to activate Itasca, Aitkin, Carlton, Pine, and Kanebec as "new" counties for us.

If I'm not already on a trip flying for Delta, I'll have to be within 1 hour of the airport--it just depends on when my on-call eligibility would start.

So this will be a Friday evening decision-- or possibly even Saturday.

Planned Route: Cook, Lake, St. Louis, Carlton, Aitkin, Crow Wing, Cass, Todd, Morrison, Benton, Mille Lacs, Kanabec, Pine, Carlton, St. Louis

APRS Tracking: NU0W-9

Pull up your hip waders! Not necessarily because of the snow... The dynamic duo of Gary NU0W and Jeff KC0MKS will be back on the road again in the Woolly Mammoth. Look for us on APRS as NU0W-9... We will be resonating on 20m, 40m, 80m and 160m SSB somewhere close to the appointed frequencies and times

Pictured is Commander Jeff (left) and Captain Gary (right). Looking forward to working you! 73!

KØARF will be mobile in four counties this year, all SSB.

  • McLeod 1630-1900z
  • Renville 1900-2130z
  • Kandiyohi 2130-2400z
Maybe a little from Stearns at the beginning or end.
This year's dog name is "Tramp".
Operators: KØSV, Charlie, and NØUV, Scott. One 100W station while mobile and two

Hope to see you on the bands.

Planned Route: Freeborn, Waseca, Blue Earth, Le Sueur, Nicollet, Sibley, Carver, Wright, Meeker, Kandiyohi, Chippewa, Lac Qui Parle, Yellow Medicine, Lyon, Lincoln, Pipestone, Rock, Noble, Murray, Cottonwood, Jackson, Martin, Watanwan

APRS Tracking: KC0DMF-9

Craig KCØDMF, Frank NØSFF and Kevin NØXWJ are excited to be doing MNQP again this year. We have a personal goal to operate from all 87 counties in Minnesota (we currently have 86, missing only Wright county). We've listed our approximate route but we will likely change things on the fly. So pay special attention to this mobile station as we cover the middle and SW counties.

Planned Route: Anoka, Hennepin, Ramsey, Washington, Dakota, Scott, Rice, Goodhue, Dodge, Steele, Mower, Freeborn, Faribault, Martin, Watonwan, Blue Earth, Brown, Nicollet, Sibley, McLeod, Meeker, Wright, Stearns, Sherburne, Benton, Mille Lacs, Kanabec, Pine, Chisago

Finally putting a route together....I'll call it the WØAIH memorial route since it's the same one Paul drove me on back in 2008!

It will be NE9U and KK9K taking turns at the wheel.

73, Scott NE9U and Ron KK9K

APRS Tracking: WØWX

Plannned Route: Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Wilkins, Traverse, Big Stone, Lac Qui Parle, Yellow Medicine, Chippewa, Kandiyohi, Swift, Stevens, Pope,

Barry (KCØLMX) and myself (WØZDT) will be operating mobile again this year for the MN QSO Party.
We will be following a pattern similar to what we've done in years past, dubbed the "Laughing Pig" route. We plan on operating 40m SSB until around 11am, and then switching over to 20m SSB. APRS beacon will be WØZDT.

Planned route: Lyon, Lincoln, Pipestone, Rock, Nobles, Murray, Cottonwood, Jackson, Cottonwood(2), Martin, Watonwan, Brown, Redwood, Lyon(2)

Plans changed and KØAPR and I decided to try mobile this year.

The route hits 12 unique counties with a couple swings through two. We will be running phone exclusively and will probably stay on 20m unless band conditions force us down to 40m.

 73, Cory NØECK

Planned route: Sherburne, Wright, Stearns, Benton, Mille Lacs, Kanabec, Pine, Isanti, Chisago, Anoka

K0SIX will be mobile this year during the MNQP.

N0XT Jack and myself K0SIX Vince will be operating SSB only in a route that will travel through 10 unique counties.  We may operate in Sherburne county again at the end, time permitting. I would assume we will be starting out on 40m ssb, then 20m ssb, finishing with 40m ssb and possibly 75m ssb at the end.

Check back here as MNQP nears for mobile announcements.
